Pecharunt and the Loyal Three

August 2024 saw the release of Scarlet & Violet—Shrouded Fable, a special set centered around the mythical Pokémon Pecharunt and its companions, the "Loyal Three": Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti. This set introduced a darker, more mischievous tone to the block. "Pecharunt ex" offered a unique playstyle that revolved around poisoning your own Pokémon to switch them into play, creating high-risk, high-reward strategies.

Cassiopeia and the Woodblock Art

For collectors, the set was a visual feast. The Illustration Rare versions of the Loyal Three featured stunning Japanese woodblock-style art, unlike anything seen before in the TCG. The "Cassiopeia" Special Illustration Rare became a major chase card, continuing the popularity of "waifu" trainers. While smaller than main expansions, Shrouded Fable punched above its weight with its distinct artistic direction and the introduction of the mischievous Pecharunt to the game.
