The Return of ACE SPEC in Temporal Forces

The meta was shaken once again on March 22, 2024, with Scarlet & Violet—Temporal Forces . This set brought back the powerful "ACE SPEC" mechanic from the Black & White era—unbelievably strong Trainer cards limited to just one per deck. Cards like "Prime Catcher" and "Maximum Belt" immediately became staples in every top-tier deck. The set also continued the Ancient vs. Future theme, introducing the fearsome "Raging Bolt ex" and "Iron Crown ex."

Walking Wake and Iron Leaves

The set focused on the paradox forms of the legendary beasts and the swords of justice. "Walking Wake ex" (Suicune) and "Iron Leaves ex" (Virizion) received stunning special illustration rares that captured their prehistoric and futuristic essences. With the reintroduction of rotation and the power of ACE SPECs, Temporal Forces marked the beginning of "Year 2" of the Scarlet & Violet block, increasing the speed and power level of the game significantly.
