Status: Released (November 2011)
Claim Noble Victories with the Swords of Justice
Released on November 16, 2011, Black & White—Noble Victories expanded the Unova region's presence in the TCG with over 100 new cards. This set is famous for marking the TCG debut of Victini, the Victory Pokémon, and for reintroducing "Restored Pokémon" like Carracosta and Archeops, which had to be played from the bottom of the deck using fossil items. Black & White—Noble Victories focused heavily on the noble "Swords of Justice" trio—Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion—giving them powerful Full Art cards that collectors adored.
The Rise of N and the Eviolite Meta
Competitive players revere Black & White—Noble Victories for introducing one of the most iconic trainer cards in history: N. This supporter card, which forced both players to shuffle their hands and draw cards equal to their prize count, became the ultimate comeback mechanic and defined the game's pacing for years. The set also brought us the Eviolite tool, which reduced damage done to Basic Pokémon, creating a "Big Basic" meta that dominated tournaments. With the inclusion of the secret rare Meowth and a host of powerful strategies, Black & White—Noble Victories remains a high point of the Black & White era.
